Blue Moon Cows

These images were done either as a commission or sold from art exhibits. Both Vanderbilt University Kirkland Hall c. 1890 and Sam were paintings done from old black and white photos. I enjoy taking an old faded image and bringing it up to "true color"

Both Sunset Stable and Iris were done from scenes on our farm. Both were later published as cover/brochure art.

Blanket Flowers highlights a small building on our farm along with the colorful Blanket Flowers that bloom on a small hill above the pond. The building, dubbed the "Castle", was built of hand mixed concrete by my husband, Frank. Though no bigger than a gazebo, it was inspired by medieval tower castles.

The farm and rural scenes that surround my everyday life are great source of ideas, and wonderful for "local color"
